Thanks to optimism and determination, Placentia Mall Inc. is ready to reel
in opportunities that have been years in the making.
The company has vigilantly maintained contact with a number of outside investors that have
expressed interest in establishing themselves in Placentia, providing
constant updates and information about developments in the area. Ms. Helen
Quilty, the company's manager, expects things to happen soon with
accelerated activity in Argentia. "We have a list of businesses waiting to
come in," says Ms. Quilty, who is hopeful that some of these businesses will
be new tenants in the Mall by next year.
In the meantime, the Mall has expanded and attracted new local businesses.
There are currently ten tenants, with the most recent additions of The Music
Shop in 2002 and the Blue Jay Café in May of 2003. The Mall now has space available for about four new businesses, but the company
holds considerable land around the now-existing structure and has the potential
to build additional floor space according to tenants' needs.
Placentia Mall Inc. is excited about the upcoming opportunities for the region and what they will mean for both the economic and social life of the area.
